GUJRANWALA, Aug 18: Residents of Wahando have strongly protested against the Education department for withdrawing the decision to upgrade the Government Girls High School.

Some dwellers told newsmen on Sunday that the Education department had issued a circular some days ago regarding the upgradation of the school. But, later another circular was issued stating that the Government Boys High School would be upgraded instead.

They pleaded that boys could get admission to colleges in Gujranwala or Kamoke, but the girls would have to face immense travelling problems.

They demanded the authorities concerned that the Government Girls High School should be upgraded instantly.
