KARACHI, Aug 16: Brothers Abdul Hanif and Sajid Hanif hammered hundred as Defence Housing Authority (DHA) beat KW&SB by 218 runs in the 11th Hinopak Trophy KCCA Inter-firms cricket tournament Thursday.
Opening the innings Abid hit seven fours in his 110 and Sajid 114 came with eight boundaries and two sixes as DHA rattled up mammoth 323 for towin 40 overs. Muhammad Rizwan made 83 with the aid of eight boundaries and a six.
In response KW&SB were bowled out for 105 in 35.5 overs. Asif Mahmood topscored 27. Tariq Hussain and Ali Naqvi captured three wickets for 24 and 7 runs.
In the second match Dewan Sugar Mills (DSM) defeated Karachi Psychiatric Hospital (KPH) by eight wickets at KCCA Ground. KPH made 119 for all out in 30.4 overs. Zeeshan Anwar hit 40 and Ashfaq Afridi made 34. Leg spinner Mansoor Ahmed captured 6 wicket for 17 runs. Wusat Hussein took 2 for 20 and Abdul Hafiz 2 for 49.
In reply DSM reached the target in 25th over scoring 122 2. Asif Zakir cracked 67. Aamir Iqbal finished 41 not out.—APP
