ISLAMABAD, Aug 15: President Gen Pervez Musharraf has greeted Indian President A.P.J. Abdul Kalam, on the occasion of the Indian Independence Day falling on Aug 15.

In his message the President said: “Excellency, on behalf of the Government and people of Pakistan and on my own behalf, I have pleasure to convey to you and the people of India our warm greetings on the occasion of the Independence Day of the Republic of India.

“Please, accept, Excellency, the assurances of my highest consideration.”

In another message, the Chief Executive greeted Indian Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee on the occasion of Indian Independence Day falling on Aug 15.

In his message the President said: “Excellency, on behalf of the Government and the people of Pakistan and on my own behalf, I wish to convey to you and the people of India our warm greetings on the occasion of the Independence Day of the Republic of India.
