HYDERABAD, Aug 15: The Government Secondary Teachers Association (GSTA), Hyderabad District, has decided to launch a protest movement and observe a black day on Aug 22 for the acceptance of their demands.
The decision regarding it was taken at a meeting of the GSTA held at the Noor Mohammed High School under the chairmanship of Jan Mohammed I. Parhiar on Thursday.
The meeting observed that the EDO (Education), Hyderabad, had failed to issue orders regarding the selection grade and moving over of the HST and equivalent cadres although a meeting of the Department Promotion Committee (DPC) had already been held.
It noted that the JST and equal cadre teachers especially female teachers had not been give selection grade since 1983, although they had been assured that the female teachers would be confirmed in the selection grade by July 3.
It pointed out that the cases of additional increments, GP Fund advances and other problems of the teachers had been lying pending with the EDO for several months but he had failed to take any action.
