LAHORE, Aug 10: A review board of the Lahore High Court on Saturday extended detention of Maulavi Ghulam Yahya Fakhari, an activist of a banned organization for one month.
Meanwhile, the board refused to extend detention of Mazhar Iqbal, another activist of a banned organization.
Earlier, deputy home secretary Irfan Ahmad, appearing before the board on behalf of the Punjab government, requested for extension in detention of the detenus for three months.
The detenus were brought to Lahore from Sargodha district jail by the Khushab district police officer.—APP
