Speaking to newsmen at the Peshawar Press Club soon after the arrival of a 10-member peace mission here on Saturday, He said the Mic needed a world full of enemies to sustain the killing machine operating. “The exploitation of nationalistic feelings and so-called national security concept are main grounds from where the Mic makes trillions of dollars profits every year,” he added.
But, he said, the emancipation from the state oppression also needed a just struggle to be waged to attract the opinion of peace-loving forces. He underlined the need for defending the humankind from becoming a scapegoat to the nuclear powers.
It was the duty of peace-loving forces to protect and save the people and their environment from any nuclear disaster, he added. “We have started our peace mission from Taxila on Aug 6, the day the US dropped atom bomb on Hiroshima and (on Aug 9 on) Nagasaki in Japan. We want the world powers to get finished the military stand-off between India and Pakistan, because in the shape of any disaster the people of both the country will suffer,” he added.
He said the march would end on Oct 12 in Ranchi in India. The monks from Chechenya, Ukraine, Russia, Kirghizia, Tajikstan and Japan are the members of the mission.
