HYDERABAD, Aug 10: The Registrar, University of Sindh, Prof Ferozuddin Kazi, announced on Friday that the regular classes, in the faculties of the university, would start from Aug 15.
He said the university authorities had finalised the arrangements in this regard, including the transport facilities for the teachers and pick and drop service for the students.
He said that a meeting had taken decisions and the transport committee had reviewed the arrangements for the fixation of routes from Hyderabad, Latifabad, Qasimabad, Kotri and Jamshoro and decided that all the routes would remain the same for the busses, involved in the transportation of the students.
A meeting, involving the deans and the heads of other concerned sections, was held under the chairmanship of the Vice Chancellor, Mr Mazharul Haq Siddiqui, which also reviewed the arrangements for the regular classes which would start from August 15, including the morning and evening shifts.
The meeting also reviewed the semester examination results and asked the controller of examinations to announce the remaining results as soon as possible. The meeting also took decisions about the proper checking of attendance in the class rooms and strict security measures at the campus.
The Sindh University provost office announced that the list of hostlers for re-allotment of the hostels would be displayed at the notice board of the provost office, on August 12.
The provost office has also started the renovation of the male and female hostels with proper arrangements for water, electricity and furniture
The director admissions, announced that admission forms would be available at the Habib Bank Limited, Jamshoro, with effect from August 15. The last date for the submission of admission forms, in next classes has been fixed as September 5.
EXAMINATION: The Controller of Examination (annual), university of Sindh, announced the schedule for the submission of examination forms of MB (homeopathy), part-I and part-II, annual examination 2000-2001, here on Saturday. The last date for the submission of examination forms has been fixed as August 15.
