QUETTA, Aug 7: Corps Commander Lt-Gen Abdul Qadir has asked social welfare department to establish centres for providing education and training in various skills to special children in various districts of the province.
During his visit to the department’s complex for special children, he said a survey should be conducted to find the number of special children in the province.
Balochistan Social Welfare and Information Minister Roshan Khurshid Bharucha was also present.
The corps commander stressed on training programmes for teachers, teaching in the complex and directed that trained teachers should be appointed as master trainers.
He said disabled persons’ quota in government jobs would be ensured.
Principal of the complex, Afzal Mengal, said special children between six and 14 years age were provided education with modern techniques and imparted various skills at the complex.
