UC Nazim shot dead

BAHAWALPUR Aug 6: A union council Nazim and another man were shot dead in different incidents over minor issues in and around the city during the last 24 hours.

Four armed men, including Nawab Khan, Amir Khan and Iqbal, shot dead Yazman tehsil Nazim Chaudhry Safdar and injured his companion Younas Gujjar on Monday night. The incident occurred after a dispute over a road accident.

The second incident happened in Tiba Badarsher Colony where Rab Nawaz along with his unidentified accomplice shot dead Elahi Bukhsh over a family feud on Tuesday.

The deceased had settled his daughter’s marriage with the accused who later refused.
