LAHORE, Nov 6: Alliance for Restoration of Democracy president Nawabzada Nasrullah Khan claimed on Tuesday that the exit of the Labour Party from the Alliance for Restoration of Democracy would not affect the coalition.
Citing differences, the Labour Party had left the Alliance on Monday.
Differences among various components over the government’s policy on Afghanistan have brought the alliance activities to a standstill. The establishment of district organizations and mobilization of the masses have been postponed. Workers’ conventions have been cancelled and there is no possibility of reviving any of the activities in the foreseeable future.
An Alliance meeting cannot be called for the fear that the differences among its components would lead to its disintegration. Some Alliance leaders admit openly that the coalition can remain intact only until a meeting is called. —Staff Reporter
