RAWALPINDI, Aug 3: The College, School Teachers Alliance plans to go ahead with its August 6 protest rally if formal notification for cancellation of the privatization of educational institutions is not issued in the next few days, union leaders told Dawn.

They expressed doubts over the government’s verbal assurance that the notification for denationalization of schools and colleges would be taken back.

The alliance secretary-general, Imtiaz Abbasi, said if the notification was issued, then the protest day would be turned into a day to express our gratitude.
