ISLAMABAD, July 17: Pakistan on Wednesday expressed disappointment over the anti-Pakistan remarks made by Indian Deputy Prime Minister L.K. Advani and Defence Minister George Fernandes in the Indian parliament.
“The Indian government knows very well that Pakistan is neither sponsoring nor encouraging any across-LoC movement in Jammu and Kashmir,” a foreign office spokesman said in a statement.
“It is time that the Indian leadership gives up the temptation of blaming Pakistan at every possible opportunity to hide its own ineptitude. It would be far more useful and productive for the Indian government to enter into a meaningful dialogue with Pakistan to resolve the Jammu and Kashmir dispute and other differences between the two countries. Such a policy would also remove the threat of aggression by India against Pakistan and enable the government of the two countries to devote their energies to the task of socio-economic development of their respective peoples,” the statement added.
