KARACHI: Practical exam centre changed

KARACHI, July 16: The Board of Intermediate Education, Karachi, has shifted the venue of practical examinations for students of a private college.

Sources in the Board said practical examinations of Intermediate (science group) annual examinations 2002 at Al-Noor Degree Science College, Federal B. Area, were postponed following reports that certain elements were interfering in the process of examinations.

Now the practical examinations will be held at the Islamia Government Science College.

It was learnt that external and internal examiners were called by the BIE authorities for a review of the situation at the college and finally it was decided that students of the college would be required to appear in their remaining practical exams at some other college.

The Board also informed the college management that atmosphere at the institution was not conducive for examinations.

The examinations will be held at Islamia College under the supervision of the staff of the private college, while Islamia College teachers will be appointed as external examiners.

Meanwhile, the Board of Intermediate Education has asked the students of Alnoor College to contact the principal of Islamia College for information and confirmation of the practical exam dates.
