KARACHI, July 15: The Oil Companies Advisory Committee (OCAC) on Monday has made a marginal decrease in prices of petrol, high octane blending component (HOBC) and high speed diesel (HSD) by six paisa to 12 paisa per litre.
The prices of kerosene, JP-1 and light diesel oil (LDO) have been increased by 14 paisa, 11 paisa and seven paisa per litre respectively. The new ex-depot fixed sales prices will be effective from July 16 to 31 at 29 designated locations.
OCAC has made no changes in the price of JP-4 and has maintained at Rs15.84 per litre.
According to OCAC, prices of petrol (MS 87 RON) has been decreased to Rs33.59 per litre from Rs33.71 per litre, while diesel is now priced at Rs19.35 per litre as compared to Rs19.41 per litre. The price of HOBC has been slashed to Rs38.07 per litre as compared to Rs38.19 per litre.
Kerosene price has been increased to Rs17.22 per litre from Rs17.08 per litre, and JP-1’s price has been fixed at Rs12.27 per litre from Rs 12.16 per litre. The new price of LDO is Rs16.25 per litre as compared to Rs16.18 per litre.
The Committee, in a statement, said that the international average product FOB prices during the fortnight as compared with previous fortnight showed an increase in Kerosene, JP-1 and LDO. However, the global FOB price of petrol, HOBC and HSD had declined.
