LAHORE, July 13: The Punjab Library Foundation’s project to computerize nine public libraries in the province has materialized with the sanction of the required number of computers.
Sources in the Punjab Library Foundation said on Saturday that librarians would be given one-week computer training this month after which 18 computers would be sent to them.
The libraries which were being provided with computers included the Central Library, Bahawalpur, the Municipal Library, DG Khan, the Jinnah Public Library, Gujranwala, the Liaquat Municipal Library, Rawalpindi, the Government Jinnah Public Library, Sahiwal, the Qasim Bagh Library, Multan, the Ghalib Municipal Library, Sargodha, the Model Town Library, Lahore and the Allama Iqbal Public Library, Faisalabad.
The training workshop would be held at the Directorate of Public Libraries at the Children Complex Library, Lahore.—APP
