QUETTA, July 12: Police on Thursday arrested Balochistan Jamaat-i-Islami Amir Maulana Abdul Haq Baloch from his residence.

A contingent of police cordoned off the residence of Maulana Haq, who is provincial chief of Muttahida Majlis-i-Amal, and took him in custody.

Police sources said a court had cancelled the leader’s bail in a case registered against him for delivering speeches against armed forces and the government.—Staff Correspondent
