LAHORE,  July  7: Chairman Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB)  Lt. Gen. Tauqir Zia revealed Sunday that the constitution of the board was with the concerned ministry and awaiting approval.

Talking to journalists the PCB chairman was replying  to a question that the board had completed three  years this month without a constitution. The PCB constitution was suspended in July 1999.

He  said that after getting approval of the  constitution, adhoc would be imposed on all the district bodies to hold  their elections  under the supervision of the board.

According to the new constitution no  district cricket association would be allowed to settle their disputes  in any court of law with PCB empowered to resolve their differences.

He said that the  PCB  had selected Kenya as the neutral venue of the tri-nation tournament involving Pakistan, Australia and New Zealand. But  he added,  that the similar approval from Australia and New  Zealand was yet to be given.

Foreign coaches: The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) chairman  Lt. Gen. Tauqir Zia was not fully satisfied with the national team’s 2-1 triumph in the three One-Day International series against Aussies in Australia.

“It was a commendable performance to beat the world champions champions, yet there  were some weak areas which need improvement” declared the PCB boss Sunday.

He regarded fitness, fielding and  running between the wicket as the weak points of the team but hoped that the hiring of three coaches Trevor Chappell (fielding), Dennis Waight (endurance, stamina  and fitness) and Daryl Foster (bowling) would help to overcome these shortcomings.
