ISLAMABAD, July 2: The Paksat satellite project would be presented before the Federal Cabinet for approval here on Wednesday.

A high-powered committee on Paksat, appointed by President Gen Pervez Musharraf, would give a detailed report about the negotiations with the satellite operators from Europe, Turkey, Russia and the United States.

The issue of frequency coordination with some 29 countries is an important feature of the briefing, well-placed sources said.

The Paksat committee, sources said, had finalised the cost and benefit analysis of the various options.
