HYDERABAD, July 2: An agreement over the payment of parking fees was reached at a meeting between the goods transporters and the Taluka administration, Hyderabad city, on Monday.

A delegation of the goods transporters, led by Haji Saeed Liaquat Ali, called on the city Nazim, Haji Moinuddin Shaikh, at his office and gave an assurance that the transporters would fully cooperate with the Taluka administration in the development of the city and agreed to pay parking fees with effect from July 6.

The delegation also assured the city Nazim that the transporters would extend full cooperation in the removal of encroachments.

NAIB NAZIM: The Naib Nazim, Hyderabad City taluka, Abdul Qadeer Naghar said that it was the fundamental duty of the city Taluka administration to ensure proper health and sanitation facilities for the people, and added that the health and sanitation staff must perform their duties to the entire satisfaction of the general public.

He directed the health and sanitation staff to complete the desilting of nullahs and drains before the monsoon season.

He warned that negligence regarding it would not be tolerated.

RECRUITMENT: The Army Selection and Recruitment Centre, Hyderabad, on Tuesday announced a comprehensive schedule for the recruitment of eligible candidates in Pakistan army.

According to the schedule, the recruitment team will visit Tando Allahyar on July 2, Mithi on July 4, 5, 22, and 23, Sanghar on July 9, Nawabshah on July 11, Mirpurkhas and Umerkot on July 13, Badin on July 18, and Dadu on July 20.

The recruitment centre has further announced that recruitment of candidates was also being carried out at the Army Selection and Recruitment Centre, Hyderabad, daily.

LUMHS: The registrar, Liaquat University of Medical and Health Sciences, announced that the 1st professional MBBS (Part I and II) and 3rd year MBBS classes have commenced from July 1.

All students have been advised to attend their classes regularly.
