PESHAWAR, July 1: Two persons were killed over petty disputes in separate incidents in the city on Monday.

Perver Khan, son of Ghulam Haider, a resident of Gharibabad, in an FIR lodged with the Yakatoot Police Station, stated that his brother Mohammad Anwar had borrowed Rs300 from Bakhtyar, son of Rehmatullah.

At about 1:30pm Bakhtyar came to a billiard shop of Muktyar in Gharibabad locality and demanded the money from Anwar. On his refusal to pay the amount immediately, Bakhtyar allegedly opened fire at Anwar killing him on the spot. The accused fled from the scene after committing the crime.

One Nasrullah allegedly killed his wife, Miraj Bibi, over family dispute in Agra Kalli, in the limits of Daudzai Police Station.

Son of the deceased, Ejaz Khan, informed the police that he was in his room when he heard a gun shot. He immediately rushed to his parents’ room, where he saw his mother dead. The alleged murderer had fled the scene.

HASHISH SEIZED: The Crime Investigation Department (CID) here seized 30 kg of hashish and arrested an alleged smuggler Mansoor, son of Mohammad Din, a resident of Bara.
