KARACHI, June 28: Seven ships carrying containers and to load ethanol and molasses are due to arrive at the outer anchorage on Saturday, according to KPT sources.

Berthing activity at the wharves was modest owing to delayed arrivals. As a result, three ships, Swat, Kaghan to unload and load containers and offload rock phosphate and Emirate of Dubai to load rice were berthed after the sailing of five.

The departing ships were led by Al-Mirqab, Saf Marine Athi, Barge Ragnhild, Stolt Loyality and Nur Yanbu, while Stavanger Prince, Swat, MSC Lucy, Sinar Bangka and Byzantio are due to sail out on Saturday.

Cargo handling activity at the wharves was maintained on the higher side where a total tonnage amounted to 91,219 tons comprising 38,868 tons of export cargo including 1,131 tons of rice and 52,351 tons of import cargo was handled.

The following ships are due on Saturday: Stolt Sakra, Nik Mary to load ethanol and molasses, Keefan, to unload high speed diesel, Jamila, Hyundai Future, Kota Sejarah and PONL Singapore to unload and load containers.

KARACHI, June 28: A ship, Ennerdale carrying LPG was allotted berth at Engro Vopak Terminal during the last 24 hours, says a PQA press release on Friday.

Four vessels, Al-Waaliyu, An An, Ennerdale and New Kaze were at the wharves loading/offloading wheat, LPG and edible oil.

A cargo volume of 21,378 tons comprising 6,771 tons of export cargo and 14,607 tons of import cargo was handled.

Two ships, CMA CGM Capella and Francisca Schulte with containers were expected to take berths at QICT on Friday while Axion with general cargo was at the outer anchorage.

Five ships, Saudi Abha, Ievoli Shine, Zhong Hua, Mutira and Stolt Sakara were due to arrive on Friday. Ennerdale was expected to sail out the same day.
