KARACHI, June 27: Renowned poet, academician and social worker, Nasir Kasganjvi, expired the other day due to protracted illness. He was 78.
Born in 1924 in Kasgang, UP, India, Nasir started his career from the All-India Radio. He belonged to the Jigar school of thought and was the author of four books on Urdu poetry.
As founder-principal of the Grammar School, he remained associated with educational activities throughout his life in Pakistan.
His Soyem will be held after Friday prayers at Ghousia Mosque in Abid Town, Gulshan-i-Iqbal.—PPI
