Demanding withdrawal of all logistic support and taking back all the airports from the US, he urged the government to halt the ongoing operation in the name of Al-Qaeda in the tribal areas.
He appealed to both the tribals and the government of Pakistan to avoid mutual clash, as it is dangerous for the country and the nation.
The JI chief was addressing the “Defence of Pakistan Rally” organized by the women’s wing of the party at Nishtar Park on Thursday.
It turned out to be one of the biggest women’s public meeting. Women converged from all parts of the city, in many cases holding children in their laps while seated on the ground and under the open sky for hours before the arrival of Qazi Sahib.
They were holding JI and national flags, banners and placards inscribed with slogans. Some of them read: We want peace and not slavery. No compromise on Kashmir. Support to Kashmiris against Indian repression is our duty. Defence of Pakistan at every cost, etc.
Qazi Hussain Ahmad paid tributes to the spirit of the participants, saying that the historic meeting had proved that Pakistani women have an immense commitment to Islam, its culture and identity, and they would not allow anyone to bargain national interest.
He said that they had made it clear that they would not allow sacrificing the defence of the country at any cost, as well as their faith and ideological identity. They were proud of their Islamic culture and values, and a handful of women inspired with the western culture did not represent Pakistani women, he added.
It was also a manifestation of their belief that Pakistan was incomplete without Kashmir, Qazi Hussain Ahmed said.
Accusing the government of taking a U-turn on Kashmir, he said that the people of Pakistan would never allow the government to bargain over Kashmiris and every man and woman, young or old, along with the children, would resist any such move.
“Pakistan is a state as well as a faith and ideology, and the women sitting in this gathering reflect their Islamic identity by cladding themselves as ordained by Islam. It is their declaration that the defence of the country is not possible without defence of culture,” he pointed out.
Qazi Sahib highlighted the importance of education to protect their ideology and said that the enemy wanted to change the educational environment, dress, culture and family system, replacing it with a western one which deprived the women of her Hijab and feminine values through the use of media, TV and NGOs.
He hoped that the women who had made their homes fortresses of Islam would not allow the rulers to join hands in any conspiracy against Pakistan, and would not allow them to take any steps, including compromise on Kashmir, which is against national interest.
He said that alliance with the US in the name of saving Pakistan was an alliance against the country and the Ummah.
The JI chief said that action against Jehad and Jehadi organizations was a game of the US and India being played by Gen Pervez Musharraf in collaboration with the enemy. If allowed to continue, President Musharraf’s own power would not remain secure, he added.
He criticized the media policy of the government and said that foreign culture and civilization was being promoted in the country under government patronage.
Earlier, JI leaders Asadullah Bhutto, Dr Mairaj-ul-Huda Siddiqui and Nasrullah Shaji said that the meeting had proved that women would continue their support to Jehad in Kashmir.
