COLOMBO, June 19: Human rights activists in the Northeast of the country will meet visiting officials of Amnesty International in Jaffna on Thursday (today).
The four-member Amnesty delegation, which arrived in Sri Lanka following reports of LTTE’s recruitment of children, is to meet the LTTE chief Vellupillai Prabhakaran.
They will discuss allegations levelled against the Tigers for human rights violations such as imposing high taxes and forced recruitment of children.
