TOBA TEK SINGH, June 12: Two villagers were feared dead when earth of the well they were digging fell on them at Chak 191-GB, Makhdooman Wali, some 50 kilometres from here on Tuesday night.

Rab Nawaz of Chak 188-GB and Nawaz of Chak 187-GB were installing the tubewell in the farmland of British House of Commons member, Chaudhry Sarwar. They were digging well and had descended some 30 feet when earth in large quantity fell on them.

Area farmers were removing the earth with the help of a crane, but they could not recover them dead or alive after 18 hours till the filing of this report.

BOY CRUSHED: A seven-year-old boy was crushed to death on Wednesday by a speeding tractor-trolley at Gojra.

Kashif Masih was playing near Passco godowns near Chamra Mandi when the incident happened.

City police have registered a case against the driver.
