TAMPA, June 10: Archeologists have unearthed two 2,000-year-old canals in Florida, which they say are the oldest and longest navigational waterways ever discovered in North America.
“Radiocarbon tests run on the sediment found in the canals date back to the year 300 AD,” Robert Carr, Executive Director of the Archeological and Historical Conservancy (AHC), said.—AFP
