ISLAMABAD, June 8: The Capital Development Authority (CDA) on Saturday set up five inquiry offices at various parts of the city to immediately respond to the water shortage complaints.

The CDA spokesman said these inquiry offices had been equipped with a fleet of 33 water tankers which would work round-the-clock on first come first served basis.

He said the residents could lodge the water shortage complaints in person with the respective inquiry offices or by telephone

The residents have been asked to contact the director of water supply, Shakeel Jan, or deputy director Shahid Sohail if their complaints are not entertained properly.

The telephone numbers of Mr Jan and Mr sohail are (Off 9202207, Res 9202788) and (Off 9208301 Res 2204388) respectively.

A senior CDA official said due to persisting heat the consumption of water had increased manifold in Islamabad. On the other hand, the existing water reservoirs were reducing rapidly due to lack of rains.
