ISLAMABAD, June 7: Official sources on Friday confirmed that Foreign Affairs Minister Abdul Sattar has requested the President to relieve him of his responsibilities in the cabinet on health grounds.

Abdul Sattar underwent a major nasal surgery last month which was both long and complicated.

“The request is under consideration of the President, who has asked Mr Abdul Sattar to continue to handle his responsibilities...until a decision is taken,” the official press release added. —AP
