LAHORE, May 2: A father of five allegedly committed suicide in Iqbal Town on Thursday.

Police said Shaukat Ali, 60, had been facing financial problems for a long time. He often had quarrels with his family over the issue. On Thursday, he shot himself dead. The body was sent to the city mortuary for autopsy.

SHOT DEAD: A man was shot dead over an old enmity in Batapur on Thursday.

Fateh Muhammad, 45, had a rivalry with Nawaz and Imran in his locality. Fateh was going to offer Fajr prayers when Nawaz and Imran along with their four accomplices opened fire on him. He was taken to hospital where he died.

A case was registered against the accused with no arrest.

Meanwhile, a security guard was clubbed to death on Wahdat Road.

It is learnt that some unidentified men hit Inayat, 40, with a rod outside a sweet shop. He was taken to hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.

BODY FOUND: The body of a man was found from the Kot Lakhpat area on Thursday.

Police said the man, about 47 years of age, had a head injury with hands tied with a rope.
