HYDERABAD, June 5: The controller of examinations (annual), University of Sindh, announced on Wednesday that the practical examinations of BSc Home Economics (pass) Part-I and Part-II for the annual examinations of 2001 will be conducted at the Government Dr I.H. Zubairy Girls College, Hyderabad, with effect from June 17.
According to the schedule, practical examinations of BSc Home Economics (pass) Part-I of Organic Chemistry will be conducted on June 17 and 18, Related Arts on June 19 and 20, and Food Nutrition on June 21 and 22.
Practical examinations of BSc Home Economics (pass) Part-II of Advance Clothing and Textiles will be conducted on June 24 and 25, and Family Economics and Housing will be conducted on June 26 and 27.
The students concerned have been advised to contact the principal of their colleges immediately if they wanted to know anything further regarding the examinations.
SHAGIRD ITTEHAD: A large number of students of the Sindh Agriculture University Tando Jam, under the banner of the Shagird Ittehad, staged a protest march from the central library to the vice chancellor’s block on Wednesday.
They were protesting against the alleged destructive educational policies of the vice chancellor.
They raised slogans against the vice chancellor and demanded his removal.
Addressing the rally, the leaders of the Shagird Ittehad charged that the vice chancellor was an enemy of education, and due to his wrong policies the institution was running into deficit, and the future of the students was being destroyed.
They said that even though eight months had passed but the new semester had yet to start.
SNF: The chairman, Sindh National Front, Mumtaz Ali Bhutto urged the office bearers of his party to make all preparations for the ensuing general elections and launch a campaign to meet the people.
He was talking to senior party office bearers during a short visit to Hyderabad at the circuit house on Wednesday.
He said the country was passing through a critical phase and there was disharmony among the provinces.
He called upon the government to resolve the problems of the people without any further delay.
