LAHORE, March 13: Raja Amir scored four consecutive goals to enable First Law Company to beat Diamond Paints 9 1/2- 5 in the SHV Energy polo tournament at the Lahore Polo Club Wednesday.
In another match of the competition, Power Soft 19 defeated Rachna Club 11—2 1/2.
In a match of the low-goal tournament, First Law Company had advantage of one-and-a-half goals. After converting a spot penalty near the goalpost at start of third chukker, Raja Amir scored three field goals one-after-the-other to give his team a lead of 7 1/2—4. For First Law Company, Munawwar Baig scored two and Jamal Iftikhar and Umar Shahbaz one goal, each.
For Diamond Paints, both Sufi Haris and Sufi Amir struck twice, each while Maula Bakhsh put in one goal.
In other match of the tournament, Rachna Club had advantage of one-and-a-half goals on handicap and could score only one goal through Shahbaz Butt. He put in the goal after a long chase.
For Power Soft 19, Ahmad Nawaz Tiwana scored four goals, Agha Murtaza Ali three and Umer Sadik and Azam Noon two goals, each.
