HYDERABAD, March 5: The Sindh High Court, Hyderabad circuit bench, here on Tuesday remanded back to the trial court an appeal against the conviction of life imprisonment to an accused of blasphemy.

The court directed the trial court to rewrite the judgment.

Appellant Nazeer Ahmed Kaimkhani moved the court against his conviction given by the Anti-Terrorism Court, Hyderabad division.

He was sentenced to life imprisonment under section 295-A PPC.

A case was lodged against him at the Jhuddo police station on Feb 2, 1998, accusing him of bulldozing a mosque in Jhuddo.

RAIDS: Three separate raids were conducted at different police stations for the recovery of illegal detainees by civil judges. However, no one was found in illegal detention.

Hala Civil Judge Nadir Hussain raided the Bhitshah police station for the recovery of Juman.

Mohammad Khan had sent a telegram to the Sindh High Court, praying for the recovery of Juman.

The second extra joint civil judge, Asif Soomro, raided the Bhittai Naggar police station for the recovery of Zeenat Keerio, who was allegedly being held in wrongful detention for charges of harbouring dacoits.
