SIALKOT, Jan 26: Kashmiri people settled in various parts of Sialkot and Narowal districts observed black day on Saturday, the republic day of India.
According to press releases, Kashmiris’ organizations held meetings at Sialkot city, cantonment, Daska, Bhopalwala, Sambrial, Uggoki, Pasrur, Chowinda, Badiana, Shakargarh, Zafarwal, Baddomalhi and Narowal to express solidarity with their brethren living in occupied valley.
Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Forum central chairman Dr Zahid Ghani Dar and other leaders spoke at these meetings. They urged the UN to pressurize India to peacefully resolve the longstanding Kashmir dispute and ensure peace in the subcontinent.
They also urged the UN secretary-general to visit the Indian occupied Jammu and Kashmir to ascertain the true picture of barbarism and grim violation of human rights being committed by the Indian army there.
