Withdrawals disrupt tournament

LAHORE, Nov 8:The All-Pakistan Fatima Jinnah Women hockey tournament has been disrupted after Balochistan, NWFP and Azad Kashmir decided not to send their teams for the competition, starting at the National Hockey Stadium from Saturday.

The organising secretary Parvin Gill said that the invitations were sent to Punjab, Sindh, Balochistan, NWFP and Azad Kashmir, but only the first two provinces responded. She said that in order to hold the tournament, Punjab and Sindh had entered two teams each. The final will be played on Nov 15. The matches will be held daily in the morning, first at 9 am and the second at 10.30am.

Following are the draws:

Nov  10:  Punjab Colours vs Sindh Whites;  Sindh  Colours  vs Punjab Whites.

Nov 11: Rest Day.

Nov  12:  Punjab Colours vs Sindh Colours;  Sindh  Whites  vs Punjab Whites.

Nov  13:  Punjab Colours vs Punjab Whites; Sindh  Colours  vs Punjab Whites.

Nov 14: Classification matches.

Nov 15: FINAL.

Meanwhile, Punjab announced its Colours and Whites teams  for the tournament which names are as follow:
