HYDERABAD: HDA sets up emergency centres

HYDERABAD, Nov 13: The managing director of Wasa, Mr Shaukat Bhutto, announced here on Saturday that the Hyderabad Development Authority (HDA) had established emergency centres in different parts of the city which would remain open from 9am to 4pm during Eidul Fitr holidays.

The relevant staff will be available at the centres in order to attend emergency situation in respect of water supply and sewerage services.

In this regard complaints can be lodged at the office of the MD on telephone (9240043/9240173), at the Latifabad water supply and sewerage maintenance division (9260106/9260232), the Latifabad sewerage maintenance division (9260105), the city water supply and sewerage division (9200199), the Qasimabad sewerage maintenance division (9240043) and the Qasimabad water supply maintenance (9200090/ 9240043).

MILITARY RECRUITMENT: The Sindh Regimental Centre has announced that the recruitment of non-combatant batmen in the Pakistan

Army will be carried out till

Dec 31.

Under-matric candidates having age between 18 to 35 years with domicile of Sindh only will be eligible to apply.

Interested candidates have been advised to report at the recruitment centre with educational certificates, domicile, CNIC or the Form-B by Dec 31.

FINED: Special judicial magistrates have challaned 45 shopkeepers and vendors and recovered a fine of Rs33,850 from them on account of charging high prices on Nov 10, 11 and 12.

According to details, 20 shopkeepers were challaned and fined Rs23,750 in Tando Mohammad Khan taluka while 25 shopkeepers were challaned and fined Rs10,100 in Hyderabad (rural).
