KARACHI, Nov 1: Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) will give one enclosure at National Stadium of Karachi (NSK) to Karachi Chambers and Commerce Industry (KCCI).
A decision to this affect was taken at a meeting held on Monday between Shaharyar M. Khan, chairman PCB and representatives of KCCI.
Revealing the details of the meeting Shaharyar M. Khan said: "I agreed to give them one enclosure but not before making it sure that they will not keep it vacant in the matches other than against India."
He disclosed that the members asked to name the enclosures for the members of KCCI which will compel them to come forward to sponsor the domestic cricket and cricket at grassroots level.
PCB boss said PCB would send proposals for sponsorships of matches at all levels including regional, school cricket, club and academy level to KCCI and they would inform the members about the proposals so that any member could sponsor any match.
"FPCCI assured us that out of 13000 members they have, they will pursue them to take the step in the positive direction to promote cricket in Karachi," he added.
Chairman PCB said they were having negotiations in the other cities as well but Karachi being the hub of sports and home of cooperate and finance is very important for PCB.-PPI
