Dilawar steers Peshawar to success

LAHORE, Oct 31: Five wickets by leg-spinner Dilawar Khan helped Peshawar earn a big win of an innings and three runs against Quetta in Quaid-i-Azam Trophy at Bugti Stadium, Quetta on Sunday.

Dilawar, although paid 131 runs in a marathon bowling spell of 29.3 overs yet he succeeded in bowling out Quetta in the second knock at 340 which they resumed at 200-2 targeting to score 343 to avoid an innings defeat.

Peshawar earned the first innings lead of 343 by bowling out Quetta at 121 in the first innings and replying with a total of 464 for seven declared.

For Quetta only Jalat Khan (47, six fours, two fours, 38 balls) was the prominent scorer of the day before the entire side was sent back to dressing room in 96.3 overs.
