Protest against loadshedding continues

KHAIRPUR, Oct 29: Villagers of Agra, Saghiyoon, Nawara and 30 other villages of taluka Gambat staged a demonstration against unscheduled load-shedding of electricity on Monday near Saghiyoon, taluka Gambat.

They told the newsmen that local Hesco officials were observing shutdown for 10 to 12 hours and causing troubles to consumers.

On the other hand residents of Lakha road staged a demonstration and protest sit-in on the third consecutive day against disconnecting the electricity supply of 30 villages on Monday.

They complained that meter readers were sending inflated meter readings, and on the pretext they have disconnected electricity supply to 30 villages. They threatened to go on further agitation, if the electricity was not restored.
