GHALLANAI (Mohmand Agency), Aug 7: Some unidentified criminals fired three rockets at the Sarokillay police station on Friday night, but the entire staff remained unhurt.

After the attack, police retaliated with firing which damaged the houses of locals Meraj Gul and Mana, and the shop of Sulaiman.

The police station is situated in a disputed area of Mohammand Agency, bordering Shabqadar town of Charsadda. The 25 villages of the agency were annexed to Charsadda district by a previous government led by Sardar Mehtab Ahmed Khan, but the villagers were opposed to it.
