PESHAWAR, Aug 7: Doctors have urged the government to introduce more courses in health administration to make judicious utilization of funds allocated for the health sector.
"It is the time to train more doctors in the health administration, so that the funds allocated for the treatment of the patients could be utilized to the maximum benefits of the patients," said Public Health and Services Academy Director Dr Mohammad Iqbal Khan.
He was speaking as a chief guest at a ceremony held to inaugurate the degree-level courses at the Abaseen Institute here on Saturday.
He said that the health administration was a new concept in the country and was important for bringing improvement in the health sector.
Health administration, he said, enabled the doctors to assess the needs of the institution through scientific calculations and apply them to achieve the desired results.
