KARACHI: Ibad visits blast victims

KARACHI, May 8: Sindh Governor Dr Ishratul Ibad Khan, City Nazim Naimatullah Khan, provincial ministers and advisers on Saturday visited Liaquat National Hospital where the injured victims of Haidri mosque blast are being treated.

While inquiring about condition of the victims, the governor announced that all expenses incurred on their treatment would be borne by the provincial government.

Forty injured were brought to the hospital after the blast, out of whom 18 were discharged after initial medical aid.

City Nazim Naimatullah Khan appealed to the citizens to keep their sentiments under control and play their due role in blocking the way of those who wanted to sow the seed for strife between the two Muslim sects.

Naimatullah Khan assured that the culprits involved in this heinous crime would not escape from clutches of the law.

IG: Sindh Police have issued instructions for compilation of lists of mosques and Imambargahs, along with review of security arrangements for these places, adds APP.

IGP Syed Kamal Shah directed the CCPO, Karachi, along with regional police officers of Sukkur and Hyderabad, to compile detailed information about mosques, Imambargahs and Madaris.

He asked them to remain in close contact with the managements of the respective institutions and organizations and take fool proof measures for their security.

He directed that police deployment at mosques, Imambargahs, Madaris and other sensitives places.
