KARACHI: Three men killed

KARACHI, Feb 4: Three people were killed in separate incidents during the last three days in the city. An elderly man was found dead in his shop in Gulshan-i-Iqbal on Wednesday morning.

Police said that Ashrafuddin, 62, owner of a fodder shop in Madina Colony, was found dead with a mark of injury in his head. The body was shifted to the Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre for post-mortem.

An FIR has been lodged and employees of the victim were being questioned by the police.

An elderly caretaker of a godown in the Mawach area was killed by unknown people on early Eid morning.

Police said that Fazal Shah, 65, was on duty at the godown when unknown persons hit him with a blunt weapon. The victim died on the spot. Later, police shifted his body to the Civil Hospital for autopsy. Victim's brother Ahmed Shah lodged an FIR with the police, saying that his brother had no enemies. However, police suspected a personal enmity behind the killing.

In Mauripur, a watchman at a marble godown was killed late on Tuesday night. Police said that the body of Abdul Qayoom, 28, was found with an injury mark on his head on Wednesday morning. His body was shifted to the Civil Hospital for autopsy.
