VEHARI, Jan 31: A woman and her five-year-old nephew were killed while three other women of the family were injured when the wall of their house collapsed at Mauza Harichand in Mailsi area on Friday night.

Reports said that Shakori Begum, 50, was draining out rainwater from her house when a wall collapsed.

As a result, Shakoori Begum and her nephew Zuhaib died on the spot. Rani, Toty Begam and 18-year-old Shazia Bibi were injured.

District Nazim Mumtaz Khichi, Tehsil Nazim Mian Saqib Khurshid, District Naib Nazim Syed Sajid Shah, Vehari DCO Imtiaz Tajwar were among a large number of people who offered his funeral prayer in Markazi Janazgah.

He was laid to rest in a local graveyard.
