Villager killed

DADU, May 31: A 40-year-old man, Mohammed Ibrahim Jamali, was shot dead in village Bachal Jamali, taluka Johi, on Friday apparently due to an old enmity.

Mohammed Essa, brother of the deceased, has lodged an FIR with Johi police against two suspects, Khalid and Sharif Jamali.

RALLY: Residents of Wazirabad, Jagatabad, Old Bus Stop, Civil Hospital area and different localities of Dadu town took out a procession against the supply of contaminated water and dilapidated drainage system in the jurisdiction of UC-1.

Raising slogans against the Nazim, Abdul Ghaffar Khero, the protesters marched through the streets of the town and staged a demonstration in front of the local press club.

In their speeches, leaders of the protesters complained that due to the negligence of the union council, sewerage lines were lying broken oozing filthy water in many areas.

They pointed out that gutters were overflowing due to choked pipelines and filth was getting mixed up with the potable water.
