KARACHI, Feb 1: Another 31 teams of school students have qualified for Karachi final of the "Dawn in Education National Spelling Bee" contest after the conclusion of the District South round.

The spelling competition for the South district schools had concluded on Jan 31.

Karachi final for the winners of district rounds will be held on Feb 4. According to a coordinator of the national competition, the contests for schools registered under District Central were in progress, while the competition of the District West would be held on Feb 3 at Bahria Auditorium. The successful teams in three different age groups are as follows:

9-11: Army Public School, Beacon house School System (Clifton), BVS Parsi High School, DHA School (Seaview), Frobel Education Centre, Habib Public School, Saifiyah Boys High School, St Joseph Convent High School (Matric section), St Patrick's Girls High School and The Mama Parsi Girls Secondary School.

12-14: Army Public School, Aureole High School, BVS Parsi High School, Defence Authority Model High School (Phase 7), Pak Progressive School, St Joseph's Convent High School (Matric section), St Joseph's Convent High School (Cambridge section), St Michael's Convent School, St Patrick's High School and The City School (Pre-section),

15-17: BVS Parsi High School, Foundation Public School, KMA Academy Girls School (Morning), Saifiyah Girls School, St Joseph's Convent High School (Matric section), St Joseph's Convent High School (Cambridge), St Michael's Convent School, St Patrick's Girls High School, St Patrick's High School, The Mama Parsi Girls Secondary School and Trinity Methodist School.
