Tsunami: over 10,000 foreigners missing

PARIS, Dec 31: More than 400 foreign tourists and expatriates have been confirmed or reported as killed in the devastating tsunamis that swept southern Asia last weekend , with more than 10,000 others still unaccounted for on Friday at 1400 GMT. The following is the country-by-country breakdown of confirmed casualties.

The overall figure of missing people is approximate, with some authorities listing all those who had failed to make contact, and others listing only those specifically reported as having disappeared in the maelstrom.
