PESHAWAR, Dec 20: An improvised explosive device went off outside a seminary in Kaniguram, South Waziristan, on Monday, killing a student, military officials said here.

They said suspected militants had planted the device outside the seminary in Lalazai village. It exploded when a student, Muslihuddin, 12, stepped on it.
