SYDNEY, Dec 6: Pace man Michael Kasprowicz, smashed for 22 runs in one decisive over in New Zealand's one-day victory at the weekend, will be rested from Australia's second match of the Chappell-Hadlee Trophy series, selectors said Monday.

New Zealand went on to win the opening match by four wickets with two balls to spare. Chief selector Trevor Hohns said nothing should be read into Kasprowicz's absence from Wednesday's second game against the Kiwis and he expected the big Queens lander to return for the final one-dayer in Brisbane on Friday. -AFP
