Operation against illegal labs soon

DERA ISMAIL KHAN, May 25: A cleanup operation against fake medicines, illegal outlets, clinical labs and x-ray clinics, is expected next week.

Reshuffling of local health authorities, including drug inspector, is also due soon after the operation.

According to details, a strict action was proposed by the director-general health NWFP against illegal medical stores, stores run by unqualified persons, unregistered clinical laboratories, and x-ray clinics using M-50 x-ray units, but the directives.

The ever-increasing complaints of the public sector invited the attention of the provincial government, and a few agencies were deputed to collect information in this regard.

The agencies have completed and submitted their reports to the provincial government and a cleanup operation is expected in a few days.

It is worth mentioning that the World Health Organization (WHO) has completely banned the use of M-50 x-ray units as they were causing cancer among the patients and technicians.

In view of the WHO reports, a large number of these units were dismantled and crushed under the road-rollers.
