HYDERABAD, Sept 30: Justice Sarmad Jalal Osmany of the Sindh High Court, Hyderabad circuit, has directed the Kotri Taluka Nazim, Khuda Bux Joyo, to appear before the court on Friday for suspending three officials of the TMA.

The notices of suspension were issued to Kotri TMO Razzak Qureshi, TO Shaukat Memon and TO Nazeer Memon for complying with directives of the court. Justice Osmany said he had read in newspapers that the officials had been suspended by the Taluka nazim.

"How can it be done", he asked the assistant advocate general, Sindh, Anwar Ansari. Justice Osmany said that on the one hand the officials were facing contempt of court proceedings and the other hand they had been suspended.

Additional advocate-general, Sindh, Masood A. Noorani said the contempt proceedings were being conducted against the officials in two separate revision applications about unauthorised construction over municipal land valued at Rs2.1 million.

The contempt proceedings were initiated by Justice Amir Hani Muslim for the violation of the order passed by him in the two revision applications.
